Day 9: Rest day in Keszthely

Rest day and some leisure activities

We went to the nearby beach in the morning. The water was 21 degrees Celsius (about 70°F), and some people were swimming. There were not many people on the beach.

It was hot, so we did not feel the need to stay outside. We returned to the apartment and waited until late afternoon, when we went to dinner at a nearby restaurant recommended by our host. We did not regret it – the food was excellent. Two blossoming linden trees stood in front of the restaurant. There are quite a few linden trees in the town, and they smell very nice when they are in bloom.

When we returned from the grocery store, we went to see the Keszthely Palace before dark. When we arrived, the park was already closed, so we could only see it from a distance.

When we were returning back we passed by the cherry tree with ripe cherries.
