Day 10: From Gargia to Alta

A relaxed day
Today I drove a short distance to Alta and checked into the camp where I had reserved a cabin for the next two nights. It was a nice cabin with a small kitchen and living room and a private bathroom. I liked it.

I drove around for a while, looking for the church where I would be attending on Sunday. While searching for the address, I stopped at a store where a KTM Duke 890 was parked. A man came out, and it turned out the KTM was his bike, so we started a conversation.

He gave me some practical tips for the area. I asked him for a recommendation against mosquitoes if I was camping, and he suggested I buy a ThermaCell device that uses butane gas and a special mosquito repellent insert activated by the heat of the gas. We then talked about our motorcycle adventures. His name was Byørne, and we took a selfie with his bike in the background.
Afterward, I bought some groceries and the ThermaCell mosquito repellent device as suggested by Byørne.
I traveled 71 km today, and the total trip counter showed 4,429 km.
