Day 19: Sunday in Tromsø
Relaxed day in the city
A beautiful Sunday in Tromsø
My wife and I walked around the city center in the morning and then attended church meetings in the local church.

Because some members are far away they attend church meetings remotely. As the congregations are small, several branches meet remotely to have more interaction.

After lunch, our hosts Mike and Becky took us in their car and we visited the Catholic cathedral with its unusual architecture and walked across the bridge, which is closed to motorized traffic for maintenance. The weather was really nice and warm enough for T-shirts.

It's still not dark at night. Our hosts told us that the first darkness comes at the end of July. In winter, the opposite is true. They don't see the sun for two months!
